June 25, 2010

We promised an exclusive behind the scenes interview with our couple, Sarah & Rodger who were featured in the May 2010 issue of Bride to Be Magazine.....here it is... SL: How did you first meet? S&R: Through friends SL: When & Where did you get engaged? S&R: We got engaged in June/July 2008. We went to Italy, France & London and Rodge proposed in Positano after spending a day at the beach.
Sarah wore a gown by Carla Zampatti and her bridesmaids wore different elegant black cocktail dresses by Alex Perry. The Flower Store created stunning arrangements in vibrant colours for the bridesmaids whilst complimented the multi coloured shoes perfectly. Sarah chose a simple arrangement of white orchids.
SL: The Big Day? Location, Location, Location - Why, Where & When? S&R: Our civil ceremony took place at Observatory Hill followed by Quay Restaurant. We chose it because of the food and the view, amazing! Our wedding was on the 28th November 2009.
S&R: We had the Urban Gypsies play at our ceremony. They are a latino-inspired acoustic band and were perfect for pre ceremony champagne for guests and post ceremony celebrations.
S&R: We wanted to be outside in a beautiful location but not too far away from the reception at Quay Restaurant.
The couples photo shoot took place in the Royal Botanical Gardens.
SL: The most special moments of the day? S&R: Getting ready with my girls & family and celebrating with all of the people who are special to us.
Kiki & Vicki (The Flower Store) did an amazing job with the flowers at Quay.
Sarah surprised guests by changing into a silver beaded mini dress by Collette Dinnigan. S&R: I wanted my reception dress to be fun and different. We are a young couple who love to party & it just seemed fitting.
Ultra modern interesting details & loads of candles at the party.
The chocolate mud & almond torte cake was designed by Planet Cake.
SL: Anything you would change if you could do it all again? S&R: No, nothing. It was perfect - not one hitch!
We wish Sarah & Rodger the very best for their marriage together and thank you for choosing SugarLove & White to cover your wedding day, x
